Workshop Transparency

Do you like to experiment? Then this workshop is for you. Use the materials you have at home. You can work with soft pastel, oil pastel, acrylic paint, charcoal and pens. Discover how you can use these different materials together. You use a minimal color palette. Of course you can determine the colors and shape yourself.

We work on paper measuring 30 x 40 cm. Build your work layer by layer. In addition to the different ways to apply color, we will also work with mediums. Are you starting to get dizzy yet? Don't worry, I show the effect of each medium and what you can include in this painting. Who knows, maybe you will spontaneously gain insight.

Materials

• Paper of approximately 30 x 40 cm of at least 200 grams, for example watercolor paper or mixed media paper: 2 sheets
  
• Wooden board or glass plate larger than your paper.
• Painter's tape to hold your paper
• Pair of scissors
• Pencil
• Tissue paper
• Acrylic Binder or other liquid white glue (mod podge)
• Modeling paste or gesso
• Acrylic paint
• Pens/markers
• Acrylic markers
• Soft pastel
• Oil pastel
• Ink (ecoline) possibly in spray bottles
• Charcoal
• Optional fixative

During this workshop we work with a limited color palette. Be creative with your materials and look at what you already have at home. If you have any doubts, you can always email me to info@sionasnel.com.

Live online workshop

During a live online workshop I will show you how to apply the painting technique via the computer. In the meantime, you can ask questions and show your work via the camera.

You will receive a login code for Microsoft Teams from me one week before the start of the workshop. With which you can connect with me on the day of the workshop. I am always present fifteen minutes before the start of the workshop.
